WORKABILITY PATHWAYS

WorkAbility Pathways seeks to provide economic and social participation for the disadvantaged, disabled and long-term unemployed.  There are many barriers to employment, more so for people with intellectual disability. One barrier is the lack of post-school accredited and accessible industry-based education, something that has not been delivered by VET for some decades now.   Another barrier is the sheer number and composition of mainstream and disability service providers, each using their own “ways of working” to support people with additional needs into learning, community participation, and supported employment.  Other barriers are the readiness of employers to design inclusive workplaces, and biased community attitudes.

WorkAbility Pathways aims to help people secure and maintain open employment through accredited, accessible education , better prepared collaboration between mainstream and disability service providers and better prepared employers who demonstrate a commitment to social and economic inclusion.

LEADERS RULE CHANGE (LRC) PROGRAM

The LRC Program is an accredited, industry-led business improvement program.  LRC establishes cross-industry virtual teams and provides the resources and support needed to implement tailored, manager-approved priority projects in a workplace or across a supply chain. Teams are supported by online resources and mentors – but are expected to undertake their own research to complete projects.  The resources build management skills around best-practice innovation, productivity and market growth. As a by-product of completing an LRC Program, industry addresses known business issues and participants receive accredited training (as RPL) to continue on to a full qualification (if they want to). Designed as a sector-wide solution, the LRC Program uses a consistent terminology to define projects, to deliver a skilled and engaged workforce and to measure outcomes.
